Debbie uses AI to do the heavy lifting on your money — spotting smart moves, coaching you through decisions, and surfacing offers that actually fit your situation. We know "AI + my financial data" can feel like a lot, so here's the plain-English version of what's happening behind the scenes.
The short version
Debbie's AI looks at a picture of your finances to give you personalized guidance — but it's built to minimize what it sees, it's told never to ask for sensitive login info, and it can't invent products, rates, or approvals. You stay in control.
What the AI actually uses
To give you advice that's about you and not some generic template, Debbie builds a private financial snapshot. That can include:
- Your credit score band reported at onboarding
- Your income (what you've told us, plus what your linked accounts show)
- Your linked account balances
- The big-picture ratios, like how much of your income goes to debt
- Recurring bills we spot in your transactions (mortgage, auto, student loans, cards)
- Your goals, recent module completions, and the recommendations you've reacted to
All of this comes from the accounts you choose to link. You're always the one who connects them and are in control if you choose to disconnect.
How we protect your data
- Your name, email, and address get stripped out before anything goes to the AI — it works off an anonymous member ID, not your identity.
- Debbie will never ask for sensitive login info. The AI is specifically instructed never to ask for account numbers, card numbers, passwords, SSNs, or logins
- No made-up numbers. Debbie can't invent rates, APRs, approvals, or products. If an offer or product shows up, it's a real one.
- Not financial, tax, or legal advice. Debbie's here to coach and guide, not to replace a licensed advisor.
